VADER & IMMOLATION Announce UK/IRE shows in April!

Polish death metal legends Vader and Yonkers NY’s unique death metal masters Immolation, are very pleased to announce that they will both be touring the UK and playing a show in Dublin, this coming April.
Vader will be headlining the six shows, with Immolation performing as main support. Also supporting will be Austrian brutal death metal troupe Monument Of Misanthropy, more supports to be announced in due course.

The death metal onslaught will commence on 11th April with a performance at Manchester’s Rebellion venue, taking the extreme package to Dublin, Glasgow and London, before concluding at Bristol Death Fest and Brighton’s Mammothfest Death Metal All Dayer.

Tour dates are as follows:

Vader will be touring in celebration of their latest studio album, ‘The Empire’, which was released in November of last year.

You can purchase ‘The Empire’ here:

There is some contention as to the beginnings of Vader, but the truth is that they began in the autumn of 1983 by Piotr ‘Peter’ Wiwczarek (‘Bardast’ and later ‘Behemoth’ back then) playing the bass and the guitarist Zbyszek ‘Vika’ Wroblewski. Extreme metal was about to be born in Poland and Vader were among the pioneers of that genre in the newly emerging underground – and the only band from that era still reigning! The first crucial point in the band’s history was their participation in the first Polish heavy metal festival – Metalmania in 1986, where they played to an audience of around 5000 persons.

Immolation will be touring in honour of their hugely successful new record, ‘Atonement’, which was released only a handful of days ago.

Immolation is a name long synonymous with the extreme music scene, delivering some of the most unique and creatively dark death metal the underground has ever witnessed. 2017 marks 29 years for Immolation – the band continue to push the boundaries and remain a vibrant force for the future of a genre that they helped define. Ever since their debut album ‘Dawn of Possession’ (Roadrunner) was released in in 1991, they have continued album after album to refine and hone their most identifiable style, creating some of the darkest and most adventurous death metal the scene has ever heard.

Rome-based metal band Shores Of Null have announced their second album, ‘Black Drapes For Tomorrow’, which will be released via Candlelight / Spinefarm Records on April 14th, 2017.

Following their highly acclaimed debut “Quiescence”, the gloom maestros are back with an album full of wistful-yet-powerful riffs, blackened aggression and epic melancholy-ridden vocals.

Produced by Marco Mastrobuono at Kick Recording Studio (Fleshgod Apocalypse, Hour Of Penance), ‘Black Drapes For Tomorrow’ is a profoundly dark outing both musically and lyrically, forging a seamless and overflowing blend of genres into a boiling pot of multi-layered sounds.

1. Tributary Waters
2. Donau
3. Tide Against Us
4. House Of Cries
5. Black Drapes For Tomorrow
6. The Enemy Within
7. Carry On, My Tiny Hope
8. We Ain’t Ashes
9. A Thousand Storms
10. The Kolyma Route
11. Death Of A River

An intense live schedule in support of this release sees them embarking upon a European tour with Harakiri For The Sky and Sylvaine; they are also set to make several Italian appearances opening for Candlemass, with more shows still to be announced.

The album title leaves no room for misinterpretation; Shores Of Null are back with a burden of gloom and darkness.

GHOST BATH announce London headline show

Depressive black metal merchants GHOST BATH, have announced their first ever UK headline show, an intimate gig at London's Sebright Arms on Tuesday 16th May.

Limited Tickets available now, get yours from:

Ghost Bath recently announced details of their new album Starmourner to be released on April 21st via Nuclear Blast Entertainment.
Stream the first single from that record, entitled "Thrones",

Starmourner was recorded, mixed, mastered and produced by Josh Schroeder and features impressive cover artwork by Luciana Nedelea.
The album features an intense concept, building on last year's acclaimed Moonlover release, Starmourner is set on a higher level. It explores joy (instead of sorrow), the cosmos (instead of earth), and paradise (instead of purgatory.) But most importantly, it explores ecstasy -instead of tragedy- as its basic human emotion. With over 72 minutes of heavy, melodic, and dramatic black metal, it is GHOST BATH's most ambitious undertaking yet.

The album takes its listener on a journey in a variety of ways; Each track is accompanied by a beautifully crafted painting as well as a "parable" to read alongside. This allows the listener to explore not only the audio soundscapes, but a visual and imaginative experience through as they delve into the album. "The stories, or parables, look into Jewish angelology and the hierarchy of angels as found in the bible and other religious texts," says vocalist/ mastermind Nameless. "Although the album has a definitive joyful and hopeful feel, it is still drenched in depression and sorrow, as any true GHOST BATH record should be."

GHOST BATH embark on a UK tour in May supporting Katatonia and also playing a London headline show.
Dates as follows:
7th May – Leeds – The Brudenell Social Club
8th May – Bristol – The Marble Factory
9th May – Wolverhampton – Slade Rooms
10th May – Southampton – Engine Rooms
11th May – Manchester – Sound Control
12th May – Glasgow – Garage
13th May – Belfast – Limelight 2
14th May – Dublin – Academy
16th May - London -Sebright Arms

This was followed by their debut LP titled, Funeral, which was released on Pest Productions (China) in June of 2014. Moonlover, their latest LP was released originally on Northern Silence Productions (Germany) and then re-released with a bonus track through Nuclear Blast Entertainment. The album was produced by Josh Schroeder and Nameless and mixed by Josh Schroeder.

DEATH ANGEL Announce UK shows for August!

San Francisco Bay Area thrash legends Death Angel, who seemingly never slow down, are very pleased to announce that they will be playing four UK headline shows this August.
Supports to be announced shortly.

Fiery front man Mark Osegueda checked in with the following comment:
“I am extremely proud to announce that DEATH ANGEL will finally be returning to the UK for a string of headlining shows in August of 2017.
These will be the first Death Angel shows in the UK since the release of our album ‘The Evil Divide’!! And we have been biting at the bit to get back there!
Expect nothing less than a special in your face set that will leave exhausted, and satisfied! Yet! Wanting for more!
See you on stage, in the pit, and at the bar”

The Death Angel dates are as follows:

In May of last year, Death Angel released their latest masterpiece ‘The Evil Divide’ – their eighth studio album.
'The Evil Divide' was recorded at AudioHammer studios in Sanford, Florida with producer Jason Suecof (Trivium, Deicide), who previously worked on 2010's 'Relentless Retribution' and 2013's 'The Dream Calls For Blood'. Mastering duties were handled by Ted Jensen at Sterling Sound in New York City.

Not every band can rise up to be musical legends, but every once in a while a group is able to exceed all expectations and define the boundaries of a genre. Among one of the youngest bands ever to storm the metal world, Death Angel have come to be known as one of the most influential bands to emerge from the 80s Bay Area Thrash Metal scene. Death Angel weren’t just a band, they were family! Originally formed in 1982 by five cousins, including current members guitarists Rob Cavestany and vocalist Mark Osegueda.

Three decades into their celebrated career, Death Angel remain as hungry as ever. As a result, uncompromising urgency and unpredictability define the Bay Area thrash quintet’s eighth full-length album ‘The Evil Divide’. The group - Mark Osegueda (vocals), Rob Cavestany (lead guitar), Ted Aguilar (guitar), Will Carroll (drums), and Damien Sisson (bass) - satiate the appetite for buzzsaw speed riffs, double bass mayhem, and scorching vocals over the course of ten new anthems. 'The Evil Divide' stands out as the culmination of thirty-plus years of music.

Their career kicked off with legendary debut, 'The Ultra-Violence', in 1987. The classic 'Frolic Through The Park' began to cement their legacy and even earned the distinction of landing on Loudwire’s list of the ‘Top Ten Thrash Albums NOT Released by The Big 4’. The group broke up following 1990’s 'Act III' only to reunite in 2004 on 'The Art of Dying' for the next generation.

In 2008, Death Angel teamed with producer Nick Raskulinecz (Foo Fighters, Alice In Chains, Rush, Mastodon) for 'Killing Season' recorded at Dave Grohl’s Studio 606. In 2010, 'Relentless Retribution' boasted a cameo from virtuosos Rodrigo y Gabriela, while 2013’s 'The Dream Calls For Blood' bowed at #72 on the Billboard Top 200, selling 5,400 copies first-week and earning the group’s first-ever entry onto that respective chart.

Beyond continued public praise from the likes of James Hetfield of Metallica and Robb Flynn of Machine Head, the band’s music has popped up everywhere from Carl’s Jr. commercials to 'Leatherface: The Texas Chainsaw Massacre III'.

Death Angel are:
Mark Osegueda // Vocals
Damien Sisson // Bass
Will Carroll // Drums
Rob Cavestany // Guitars
Ted Aguilar // Guitars

AVATARIUM announce new album 'Hurricanes And Halos'

Sweden's doom darlings AVATARIUM are back with their third studio album and once again, singer Jennie-Ann Smith and her gentlemen cast a spell over you with a truly magical sound experience - 'Hurricanes And Halos' will take the world by storm on May 26th and contains eight majestic new tracks.

Once again, AVATARIUM rely on beauty and darkness, heavy guitars and fragile sounds, unique female vocals and the mystic vintage blues sound from the 60s, while still staying on modern ground and trusting into the haunting soul of doom rock. Six out of the eight new tracks were forged by CANDLEMASS wizard Leif Edling, but guitar master Marcus Jidell and singer Jennie-Ann Smith also contributed to the songwriting and formed a worthy successor to 'The Girl With The Raven Mask' - an album that topped multiple soundchecks in 2015 and brought them the 'Up And Coming'-award from German Metal Hammer.

The new album was produced by Marcus Jidell himself, while David Castillo (KATATONIA, BLOODBATH, OPETH) recorded and mixed it in the famous Ghost Ward Studios and the mastering was done by Jens Bogren (SOILWORK, SEPULTURA). Together they created an organic and warm sound that sets 'Hurricanes And Halos' apart from the over bred, electronically optimized mass.

"Recording Hurricanes And Halos has truly been an emotional roller coaster for me and I do think that has contributed to a pure and vibrating energy on the album. I am deeply proud of what we have achieved together," states lead singer Jennie-Ann Smith and guitar wizard Marcus Jidell adds: "It feels like the two previous albums and the EPs lead us to this one, it's been a natural flow to where we are today, musical and emotional wise"

FIT FOR AN AUTOPSY release new track from upcoming album

New album The Great Collapse will be released on 17 March via Long Branch Records.

FIT FOR AN AUTOPSY have released brand new track 'Iron Moon' from their upcoming new album The Great Collapse.

Featuring a guest performance from Kevin McCaughey (Ion Dissonance), stream the track here: https://youtu.be/AFAMEIAMvGs

"Iron Moon's one of our more aggressive songs, lyrically it's sort of an attack on the complacent and routine life," says guitarist and producer Will Putney. "The world is full of people stuck in these dead end paths, just accepting a world that's handed to you, a world where you have no voice or no opportunity to even get ahead. It's a song written in defiance of that and is a reminder that you don't have to settle for being exploited or controlled by anyone."

The new single is released on the heels of the band's music video for 'Heads Will Hang' premiered last month via Alternative Press and directed by Max Moore (Code Orange, Of Mice And Men).

FIT FOR AN AUTOPSY will release The Great Collapse on 17 March via Long Branch Records (Europe) and Entertainment One (Rest of the world).

European live dates:
03.08.17 DE - Wacken - Wacken Open-Air
16.08.17 DE - Dinkelsbühl - Summer Breeze Festival
18.08.17 DE - Allstedt - Destruction Derby
with more to be announced.

The crushing music of Fit For An Autopsy is for any fan of extreme metal, as it’s devoid of preachy politics or grandstanding soap-boxing, but its sound and fury is absolutely unflinching in purpose. The band expertly blends excessive-force fuelled death metal with atmospheric groove and impassioned personal diatribes, reflecting back the dark state of current events. Their fourth album, The Great Collapse, doesn’t waste time with fantasy bullsh*t or cliché gore horror. Fit For An Autopsy are metal guys, to be certain, but they grew up in the hardcore scene. They embrace the responsibility to put as much devoted purpose into their lyrics and message as they do into their dense, heady, songs, forging a magnificently powerful new post-deathcore.

“When I write a song, I’m trying to feel emotionally connected to it. I really don’t like saying things that don’t matter over music that I want to matter,” says Putney, guitarist, principal songwriter and cofounder. “We’ve always addressed serious topics going back to our first album. We aren’t a politically charged band up on a podium yelling at people – anybody can relate to the aggression, anger, frustration, and sadness often communicated in our music. But we absolutely raise important questions in the lyrics. Those themes are there to discover.”

Putney’s fellow guitarist/cofounder, Patrick Sheridan, strongly agrees. He emphasises that while the music of Fit For An Autopsy may evolve it will always be aggressive and will always have purpose. “We think it's important to carry that torch. Somebody's got to say something about the shit that's going on. If you're not using your music, which is a great platform, for something meaningful that you care about on some level, then you're kind of wasting it.”

The six-men of the New Jersey based group - which includes vocalist Joe Badolato, bassist Peter Spinazola, third guitarist Tim Howley, and drummer Josean Orta - put maximum intentionality into everything they do. They are constantly challenging themselves as musicians, adding to the band’s overall creative arsenal, connecting with audiences around the world, and supporting one another in the band as individual people.

BATTLE BEAST release 'Bringer Of Pain' music video!

Finnish heavy metallers, BATTLE BEAST, released their fourth studio record titled Bringer Of Pain, last Friday through Nuclear Blast. Check out the brand new video for the title track, produced by Dark Noise Productions ( www.darknoiseproductions.com),
over on YouTube:

Bassist Eero Sipilä commented on the video:
"Short story: We wanted to do a video which was simply about thrashing around. 'Bringer Of Pain' is the fastest and probably the least "commercial"-sounding song on the album, displaying a completely different side as opposed to the previous singles so it seemed like a perfect choice. Empty industrial hall, tons of smoke, tight jeans and lot's of headbanging – the classic metal video!"

Recorded and produced at JKB Studios by keyboardist Janne Björkroth, Bringer Of Pain was also mixed by him alongside Viktor Gullichsen and Mikko Karmila, while mastering was done by Mika Jussila at FinnvoxStudios. The cover artwork was crafted by Jan Yrlund. Additionally, Bringer Of Pain is BATTLE BEAST's first album recorded with guitarist Joona Björkroth.

BATTLE BEAST will embark on an extensive touring cycle in support of Bringer Of Pain (Nuclear Blast), check out the tour trailer here:

Papa Roach Premiere Video For New Track 'Help'

Papa Roach have given fans a taste of their forthcoming ninth album with a video for their new single ‘Help’. The track dropped earlier today, Friday 15th February and is available across all digital streaming platforms via Eleven Seven Music. The new album is expected to be released in May.

“Help” was produced by Nicholas “Ras” Furlong and Colin Brittian, who grew up listening to Papa Roach and inspired the band to revisit some of their early influences. “We really followed our instincts and tried something unproven,” explains Furlong. “We ended up morphing the band’s best ‘old school’ traits into a courageous and more adventurous version of Papa Roach in the 21st Century.” Lyrically the new offering, touches on the personal, yet relatable, theme that surrounds the universal struggle of surviving mental health issues.

Papa Roach teased fans late last year with the viral release of “Crooked Teeth”(LISTEN HERE), which is nearing 2M streams on Spotify. Featuring one of the album’s more unorthodox moments—the 808 bass drop into a metal breakdown, “Crooked Teeth” hit the online community, exciting fans all over the world who are expecting an album as dynamic as their classics INFEST and Getting Away with Murder.

Papa Roach will be heading out on a Canadian tour with Sum 41 during April, followed by a handful of US festival dates. More dates will be announced soon via their website: www.paparoach.com/tour

Papa Roach are Jacoby Shaddix (vox), Jerry Horton (Guitars), Tobin Esperance (Bass) and Tony Palermo (Drums).

THE CHARM THE FURY have matured since their debut. With several of Europe's biggest festivals under their belt, they have transformed their sound into a startling slab of ultra-modern but utterly distinctive metal that shrewdly and honestly redefines what THE CHARM THE FURY is all about. Driven by a collective distaste for the state of the world in the 21st century, the band recorded an angry album underpinned by ferocious intelligence and a heartfelt desire to wake people out of their digital stupors.

With more details about the band’s new album, The Sick, Dumb & Happy, to come, the critical moment has arrived: THE CHARM THE FURY are armed, ready and hungry for the next big push. When it explodes in 2017, the smart money is on these die-hard noisemakers claiming their rightful place among the new metal elite. They have the songs, the determination and the charisma to make it happen.

Mathijs Tieken - Drums

Frontwoman KOBRA PAIGE on the story of “Prevail I” the band’s most ambitious effort to date:
“When we are born, we are innocent, pure, and unshaped. This mandala signifies a human at the beginning of it’s journey. Unscathed and beautiful, the mandala is each and every one of us. As this album unfolds, you will notice it’s more than just music. ‘Prevail I’ is a story of visceral truth and I believe, if we’re really being honest with ourselves, everyone will find their story within it. After all, the battles may differ, but we all started as the same mandala and we are more relatable than we’d like to admit. Our only wish is that you may enjoy the freaking crap out of this album and find comfort in realizing you’re not alone.”

ONCE HUMAN Unveil Video for 'Dark Matter'

Once Human have released their new studio album ‘Evolution’ today. While the video for their first single “Eye Of Chaos” now exceeds the 2.5 million views, a new video for their song “Dark Matter” is now available on YouTube.

Evolution is not just the title of Once Human’s sophomore release, it’s an armor-plated declaration. Having made waves with their 2015 debut, The Life I Remember, the band have dramatically progressed beyond the melodic death metal sound of that release into something more complex, emotional, distinct, and devastatingly heavy.

“Having been focused on recording, producing and developing bands, I had not picked up the guitar out of passion for twelve years but as soon as I started writing with Lauren (Hart, vocals) I fell in love with what we were making, and I wanted to play in the band and get back on stage,” states guitarist Logan Mader, whose name will be familiar to metalheads not only for his production and/or mixing work on records from the likes of Gojira, Fear Factory and Devildriver, but also as the original guitarist in Machine Head, and his late 90s stint in Soulfly.

With the lineup rounded out by drummer Dillon Trollope, bassist Damien Rainaud and guitarists Skyler Howren and recent recruit Max Karon, everything about Evolutionmakes it clear that this is a band pushing itself to deliver something that truly stands apart. “Our first record was getting the ball rolling, but now it’s as if we’re a totally different band. We really found our sound and our identity, it’s quite unique and I think what we’re doing is really on fire.”

With the intensity and range of Hart’s roar having drastically increased, she unleashes it across complex and constantly shifting time signatures, and thick, contorted riffs that land with sledgehammer force. However, this is not only about bludgeoning the listener into submission, the violence often juxtaposed with eerie atmospherics and dark melodies to create something with great depth.
