DEVILMENT talk Danzig in final trailer

Witch County nefarious frights DEVILMENT – led by vehement frontman Dani Filth, will release their masterpiece ‘Devilment II: The Mephisto Waltzes’ this coming Friday (18th November) via Nuclear Blast Entertainment. Today, the band release the final trailer in which Dani reflects on his love of Danzig and some of his encounters with “Evil Elvis”.

 Watch the video here:

When recalling one of their many meetings, Dani comments,
"He came to say hello after a show we played in LA and I was that [flustered] trying to put a top on I fell through the curtain, fell down the stairs and somebody opened the door and I literally fell into him and headbutted him. But he didn't mind at all!... People see him as this arrogant man... I've heard all the tales... But last time I saw him, everybody was backstage. Me, my wife and my daughter where literally sitting up on stage to watch him. He's let me do that about three times."

The band recently released the new a new animated lyric video for third single, 'Full Dark, No Stars' (animation by Sophie Bedborough https://rattledmachine.carbonmade.com/ and editing by Sam Scott-Hunter). Watch the video now via the Nuclear Blast YouTube channel: https://youtu.be/oetNQzgscRk

"The title for this song is taken from a Stephen King horror anthology, much as the title of our first album was lifted from a book by Clive Barker (The Great And Secret Show) though there is no correlation between the book and the song, other than it represents a bleak period; a state of wanton depression; an absence of being".Dani recounts. "It is, much like many songs on this album, about regaining the light, the overcoming of demons, and of triumphing over the immense shadow of fear itself."

The Witch County wicked wanderers are set to embark on a tour of the UK in December. They will be joined by special guests SHE MUST BURN, who were last seen opening up for Cradle of Filth last October. A slew of local acts will begin the evening each night (one per venue) and a list of these will be presented shortly. Full dates can be seen below and tickets are available here: https://myticket.co.uk/artists/devilment

Dani’s crew have meticulously pieced together a second blood-spattered batch of deranged anthems that brings vastly more colour, intensity and lyrical versatility to this band’s spectral palate. The second DEVILMENTrecord makes no splintered bones about its nefarious intent, offering a bewildering torrent of disparate and demented ideas and delivering them with refined, ultra-gothic panache and several jolting doses of Dani’s trademark verbal subterfuge. Assisted by long-time collaborators Lauren Francis (keys and vocals), Colin Parks (guitar), Nick Johnson (bass) and new drummer Matt Alston, Dani has arrived at the telling moment where DEVILMENT become a genuine force to be reckoned with.
