LACUNA COIL release video for "Reckless" from new album "Black Anima"

With the release of “Reckless” Italian alt metal superstars LACUNA COIL are presenting the second single of their new album “Black Anima”, out on October 11th, 2019. The official music video to “Reckless” continues the story, which began in the video to previously released single “Layers Of Time” and was again filmed by director Roberto Saku Cinardi.

Cristina Scabbia comments:
"Reckless" is the second track taken from our new album "Black Anima". We wanted the concept of the video for this song to be somehow related to the one in "Layers Of Time": that's why we filmed both of them in the same location picked by Roberto Saku Cinardi. We had the band's performance at the core of the "Layers of Time" video, while in "Reckless" the ideas of freedom and being true to yourself come to life through disturbing horror images to cause a reaction in the audience and actually represent the obscure atmosphere of our new record.

In "Reckless", Lacuna Coil became part and parcel of the nightmare and fears experienced by the little redheaded girl. As usual, working with Saku in such a stunning location and with great actors that completely committed to the roles, has been absolutely inspiring. It was definitely worth it and I hope you will like this video as much as I do!"

Director Roberto Cinardi (aka SaKu) already worked with the band for many videos such as the award winning “Spellbound” (2009), “I Won't Tell You” (2010), "End of Time" (2012) and the short film with members of the band Dark Passengers (2012).

Formed in 1994, Lacuna Coil quickly became one of Century Media’s biggest selling bands. From Comalies (2002) and Karmacode (2004) to Shallow Life (2009) and Broken Crown Halo (2014), the high-flying Italian act demonstrated an uncanny ability to pull in rock, gothic, and metal audiences. The band’s spirited and lauded live performances have also earned them a solid reputation for a band that not only delivers night in/night out, but also a band whose stage performance reverberates long after the show is over. Indeed, Lacuna Coil’s heartfelt, heavy, melodic, and rhythmic metal—a hybrid of gothic, groove, and alternative—has created a rabid worldwide following. Whether it’s “Our Truth” and “Delirium” or “Nothing Stands in Our Way” and “Trip the Darkness,” Lacuna Coil’s dual-vocalist assault is immediately identifiable. New album, Black Anima, continues the Italian’s reign atop the metal stack.

HELLYEAH unleash thunderous anthem 'Black Flag Army'

With less than a month until the release of their sixth studio album Welcome Home, due September 27th via Eleven Seven Music, HELLYEAH have unleashed ‘Black Flag Army,’ the fifth and final offering ahead of the album release.

Their eagerly anticipated new album Welcome Home, which features the late Vinnie Paul’s final recordings, will unleash 11 tracks driven by their love, loyalty, reverence and respect for their fallen brother, including ‘Black Flag Army’, fiery track ‘333,’ the thunderous U.S radio hit ‘Welcome Home,’ guitar-driven ‘Perfect’ and gritty ‘Oh My God.’ There has been huge support for the new music globally across streaming services and media with the title-track standing as the band’s fastest-growing song at Active Rock Radio in the US.

After celebrating the life of their Brother and Bandmate Vinnie Paul with an emotional sold-out concert in Las Vegas earlier this year, the band toured extensively across the US where they premiered new material from Welcome Home each night, with talks of UK shows on the horizon.

They continue to honour their late bandmate by donating proceeds from ticket sales to the American Heart Association, helping to raise early awareness for heart disease.

Vinnie’s death had a huge, life-changing impact on HELLYEAH who have all now vowed to change their ways to a much healthier lifestyle and aim to resonate that to others.

As they continue to make their signature hard rock for fans old and new, HELLYEAH are pushing forward as a strong unit with a brand new release that is personal, poignant and truly memorable, marking the next chapter of journey.

Dragonforce `Extreme Power Metal' Review

Cast your mind back to 2006, a time where George W. Bush was President, Italy won the World Cup and the rise of Guitar Hero. Out of the phenomenon that was Guitar Hero it saw the surge of sore fingers and smashed controllers over one song in particular, Dragonforce's `Through The Fire and The Flames'.

Although this remains the real pinnacle of Dragonforce's popularity in the outside world, they have continued to maintain a steady flow of albums.
Speed up to 2019 and in just a few short weeks, Dragonforce will be putting out Extreme Power Metal and will be the bands 8th studio album.
A fun fact for the album was that Hermann Li, the guitarist extraordinare, recorded some of the album live on his Twitch channel.

The album opens with `Highway To Oblivion', which also just happens to be the first single. Straight off the bat you will know it's Dragonforce, Marc's vocal delivery hits notes that can surely only be registered by some of your pets. This track is the album in a microcosm; it's fast, melodic with high soaring vocals that is designed for mass crowd participation. The band want you to be able to sing along and not just to the triumphiment lyrics that Marc emphatically delivers.

Yet, as mentioned earlier this track is the album in a nutshell, the rest of the tracks strongly follow suit. Full of songs about triumph and victories, intricate guitar parts and intensely quick drumming, it's the Dairy Milk of Metal, tasty but you can't eat it all the time.

`Extreme Power Metal' is 100%, a boneafide Dragonforce. From the 1st track through to the final track `Rememberance Day', you pretty much know that it's a Dragonforce album. Hell, even the cover of Celine Dion `My Heart Will Go On' screams Dragonforce.

Personally, this albums shows off everything positive about Dragonforce. Their musicianship is off the charts, each member of the team brings their A Game to the sheer skill and dexterity they show when noodling on their instruments. However, for all of this it feels that it misses heart, it misses a little bit of variety that is the spice of life, apparently!

It's not a bad album by any strech of the imination but personally not one that holds much variety.

6.5/10 - It's Dragonforce, you get what you'll expect. It does what it says on the tin!

Stand out tracks:
`Highway To Oblivion', `The Last Dragonborn' and `My Heart Will Go On'

Today, Papa Roach share their “Come Around” music video, from their tenth studio album, Who Do You Trust?, shot in New York from their Who Do You Trust? U.S. tour, their largest headlining tour to date.

WATCH/SHARE “Come Around” video

The video features footage from their August 11 performance in New York, NY, featuring longtime fan Mark Moreno, who has followed the band since 2000. It begins with Jacoby saying, “This music gives me a connection to something bigger than myself. This music connects me with people. This music gives me purpose.”

Director Bryson Roatch visually tells the story of both the band and Mark, in their journey to do what they love most, sharing emotional moments on the way. One particularly touching moment is Mark visiting the gravesite of his sister, Elizabeth Santana Mercado, whom he lost to colon cancer in 2016. "She was my control switch. She could change my mood real quickly," he explains. The video’s caption notes that thanks to music and a good support system (Mark is shown with family and friends), you can overcome anything. At Mark’s 57th Papa Roach concert, Jacoby presented him with a gift — a platinum Papa Roach plaque in honor of Elizabeth – and thanked him for his support by giving him two golden Papa Roach “Por Vida” (“For Life”) passes, good for tickets to any Papa Roach show, anywhere in the world, for free, for life.

“We knew ‘Come Around’ was one of those special songs when we got done with it. We walked away from the track and kept humming the melody to it, and it’s just one of those things that gets stuck in your head. Lyrically, this track’s about sticking with your friend through thick and thin, or your loved one, as they’re spiraling out.” – vocalist Jacoby Shaddix

Who Do You Trust? marks a paradigm career shift for the 26 year band. Singles “Who Do You Trust?” and “Elevate” have steadily remained in the Top 10 at Active Rock Radio, marking 14 Top 5 hits, and six #1 hit singles in their career.

The band recently wrapped their Who Do You Trust? summer tour through 25 major markets,
featuring all-new production and a stellar career-spanning set list, and now connect with Shinedown and Asking Alexandra starting in Roanoke, VA, on September 17, until October 19 in Boise, ID. They will play at Slipknot’s Knotfest on November 30 in Mexico. For tickets and more information, visit
